Dr. Michael Izquierdo (Dr. Mike) joins Optimal Wellness Center with the intention of providing a different dimension of care to the patient. Too many physicians are trained to view and subsequently treat patients as simply a collection of similar painful and pathological symptoms. Just as each person has his or her own unique fingerprint, so too, no two
people complaining of similar symptoms share the same cause. Whendealing with symptoms of pain and general physical discomfort, the problem, and thus the true cause of the condition is ‘the root, and NOT the fruit.’ Dr. Izquierdo has been thoroughly trained at distilling the root cause of each patient’s condition, and treating each individual
patient through the use of Applied Kinesiology (AK).
Dr. Izquierdo was trained in Applied Kinesiology (AK) by one of its founding members – Dr. Dan Duffy Sr. AK defines health as a balance between the body’s structural integrity, the mental/emotional state, and the chemical/nutritional state within each individual. Where there is balance, there is true health.
Dr. Izquierdo is a native of Southern California. He received premedical instruction from UCLA, and gained practical clinical experience as a Naval Hospital Corpsman. Shortly after his graduation from Cleveland Chiropractic College, Los Angeles in August 2004. he joined the Duffy family practice in Highland Heights, Ohio. Now a resident of Lakewood, he is thrilled to lend his expertise to the specialized care offered at Optimum Wellness Center. Dr. Izquierdo is married and is
expecting his first child (a boy!) in May 2008.
