Ultrasound

Ultrasound

Ultrasound therapy applies high frequency sound waves (waves above 20,000 cycles per second, 20 kHz) sometimes accompanied by Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS) to an external surface of the body to alleviate symptoms of pain, spasm or injury. The assistant uses a wand and a current conducting gel similar to aloe vera. A mild heat inducing salve may also be applied. The waves penetrate the surface of the body to stimulate blood flow and bring the body.
