Roberta (Bobbi) Smedley was raised by parents who believed in an alternative, holistic approach to life long before it was in fashion.
Her dad taught her to return to the earth for healing and balance, her mom insisted on vitamins and herbs.
Bobbi became interested in the body/mind/soul connection during her 4 years in a jazz and tap company in Florida. Her love for the movement of the body lead her from dancing professional to dance instructor, exercise trainer, tai chi instructor, to Stotts Pilates instructor. She graduated from Ohio College of Massotherapy in October 1977, and has been working as a massage therapist for 22 years.
Her studies include: Sports, Raindrop, La Stone Hot Rock and relaxation massage, Reiki Levels I & II, Pronic Healing, Reflexology, Cranial Sacral work, Myofascial Release and the Bowen technique.
Always interested in learning new techniques, she reads the needs of the body and incorporates a little of all her knowledge into each massage, making each session unique to the needs of the patient. She loves helping people learn how to help themselves heal.
Bobbi has been a patient of Dr. Jordan’s for 12 years and is a breast cancer survivor. She studied Ayurveda with Deepak Chopra and always incorporates Chinese philosophy within her practices.
